Southside Community Association (SCA)

The Southside Community Association (SCA) is a nonprofit organization in Flagstaff, Arizona, dedicated to preserving the rich history and cultural heritage of the Southside neighborhood while promoting community development and well-being. Our goal is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient community where residents and local businesses can thrive.

Our Mission

At SCA, we are committed to empowering residents, fostering resilience, and building a sustainable future through education, cultural programs, and active community engagement. We support the Southside neighborhood through four core initiatives:

  • The Resilience Hub: A resource center focused on community support and sustainability.

  • Resilient Black Roots: Celebrating and preserving the Black history of Flagstaff’s Southside.

  • The Neighborhood Plan: Advocating for responsible growth, infrastructure improvements, and historic preservation.

  • The Murdoch Center: A hub for events, education, and cultural programming.

or community  programs, we are dedicated to strengthening the Southside’s identity and

future in Flagstaff, AZ.
