Community Partners
At the Southside Community Association (SCA), we recognize that meaningful change happens when we come together. Our Community Partners are essential allies in our mission to preserve the rich history of Flagstaff’s Southside neighborhood while fostering a thriving, inclusive future.
Through collaboration with local businesses, organizations, and advocates, we strengthen community resilience, promote cultural heritage, and provide essential resources to residents. Whether supporting our Resilience Hub, Resilient Black Roots, The Neighborhood Plan, or Murdoch Center, our partners help drive impactful programs that empower individuals and celebrate diversity.
By becoming a Community Partner, you join a network committed to making the Southside a vibrant and sustainable place for all. Together, we can continue building a stronger, more connected community.

About The Boys and Girls Club of Flagstaff
The Boys & Girls Club of Flagstaff opened in July 2012, transforming the Cogdill Rec Center into a safe space for youth. With city support, the Club now serves 700+ youth across 6 sites in Northern Arizona.
Programs focus on education, leadership, healthy lifestyles, and the arts—empowering young people to reach their full potential as responsible, caring citizens through after-school and summer programs.
City of Flagstaff (COF)
Flagstaff is a city in the U.S. state of Arizona, surrounded by mountains, desert and ponderosa pine forests. It’s a gateway to the San Francisco Peaks, home to Arizona’s tallest mountain (Humphreys Peak) and the Arizona Snowbowl ski resort. Nearby, Wupatki National Monument has Native American pueblo sites, and Walnut Canyon National Monument is dotted with their cliff dwellings.
Flagstaff got its start in 1876 with a legacy centered on the lumber mills and the railroad. Today, Flagstaff’s historic downtown is a tourist attraction.
Located in the high country mountains of northern Arizona, Flagstaff is not the Arizona experience you may expect. At 7,000 feet elevation, temperatures rarely exceed 90 degrees in the summer, fall brings a brilliant change of color, winter snowfall averages 108 inches and spring bursts with blossoms.
