The Resilience Hub at the Murdoch Center in Flagstaff, AZ, serves as a vital resource for marginalized communities, offering emergency preparedness, food security programs, and health education. This initiative provides critical support during crises while promoting sustainable living and improved health outcomes. Through local partnerships and community-driven solutions, we empower residents with the resources they need to build resilience and long-term well-being in the Southside neighborhood.

Resilient Black Roots

Uplifting Black Voices & Perspectives in Northern Arizona

Resilient Black Roots, formerly the Lived Black Experience Project, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the cultural heritage of Black Americans and communities of color in Flagstaff and Northern Arizona. Through storytelling, historical preservation, educational events, and advocacy for racial equity, this initiative strengthens the collective memory of the Southside neighborhood. We amplify Black voices and histories, ensuring that their contributions remain an integral part of Flagstaff’s diverse community fabric.

The Neighborhood Plan is a community-led initiative dedicated to preserving the historical and cultural integrity of Flagstaff’s Southside neighborhood. Through sustainable urban development, this program addresses housing, transportation, and environmental concerns while advocating for policies that foster a thriving and inclusive community. By working closely with residents, city planners, and local organizations, we ensure that Southside’s unique character and rich history remain protected for future generations.
