MARTIN LUTHER KING WEEKEND CELEBRATIONS

Starting off the weekend, Dr. Deb Harris, Nadia Luce, and Ashley and Daniel Davis attended Northern Arizona's 1st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Gala on Saturday January 20th. The event was a celebration of Dr. King's Legacy and a powerful reminder of the importance of continuing to strive for equality and justice for all.

The evening had inspiring speeches, musical performances, and a three course meal. This extraordinary event marked a significant milestone in the Northern Arizona's journey towards unity and social justice, and SCA is thrilled to be a part of it. Dr. Deb, Nadia, and Ashley and Daniel were honored to be a part of this special night and look forward to seeing the positive impact this event will have on the community in the future.

Dr. Deb Harris and Nadia Luce also attended Northern Arizona University's Annual MLK Day Celebration: DREAM KEEPERS. The event began with a breakfast and moved to speeches and performances from NAU Faculty and BLACK STUDENT UNION (BSU) students. As well as guest performer URSULA RUCKER.

 Nadia is a member of BSU and was a part of the MLK Day March through the NAU Campus. The march was a reminder of the importance of community engagement and service and ended with community service around town. We are grateful for BSU's service at the Murdoch Center.

 As always SCA continues to celebrate and advocate for residents of the southside and Northern Arizona, and and were grateful for the opportunity to attend these events.
