KENGATTA CALLEN

SCA Executive Director

Kengatta Callen is the Executive Director of the Southside Community Association (SCA) and Resilience Hub Coordinator at the historic Murdoch Center in Flagstaff, Arizona. With a deep commitment to community development and social equity, Kengatta leads the SCA's efforts to preserve the unique history of Flagstaff’s Southside neighborhood while driving forward initiatives that promote economic opportunity, cultural empowerment, and environmental sustainability.


Kengatta brings a wealth of experience to the role, drawing on his background in nonprofit leadership, community organizing, and youth mentorship. His work has been instrumental in launching key SCA programs, including the Resilience Hub, which provides critical resources to marginalized populations, and Resilient Black Roots, an initiative focused on honoring and uplifting Black Americans and communities of color in Northern Arizona.


In addition to his work with SCA, Kengatta has an extensive history as a restaurant consultant, a licensed financial professional, and a passionate advocate for youth development. His diverse expertise in business, community engagement, and social impact has enabled him to foster partnerships and secure resources that benefit the Southside community. Kengatta’s leadership is rooted in the belief that strong, resilient communities are built through collaboration, equity, and a shared commitment to progress.
